Academy Meals

All children eat together in the dining hall or if the weather is good they can eat outside in our shaded dining area. Cooked meals, including a vegetarian option, are prepared daily in our kitchen and children are offered a choice of main courses and puddings. Fruit and freshly baked bread are always available.

Menus for school meals are sent out for each half term and we would ask that parents choose their children meals well in advance to help us to order them. The cost of a school meal is £2:10 per day or £10:50 per week. If your child is bringing in the money for school meals please ensure that the money is placed in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the child’s name and class so that they can hand it in to the School Office. All meals must be booked and paid for a week in advance. Please give as much notice as possible to the School Office if you want to change your child’s lunchtime arrangements.

Free school meals

If your family income is low your child may be entitled to a free school meal. It’s important to register for entitlement to free school meals, even if your child has a packed lunch – this is so we can receive additional funding (called the pupil premium) which we can use to help your child.

You can claim Free School Meals if you receive one of the following:

Packed lunches

If you do not want your child to have a school meal they can instead bring a packed lunch. This should be in a secure named container. Please put your child’s name on the outside to help them to identify it easily. A drink should be provided in a non breakable container. No sweets or fizzy drinks are allowed – instead, we encourage lots of fruit, vegetables and water.

Breaktime Snacks

All children in Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 have free fruit.
